Your Session

Your photo session is a team effort between you and your photographer. The goal is to make you look your best. Here are a few tips that will give you an advantage:

  • Get plenty of sleep the night before, drink lots of fluids.
  • Arrive a few minutes early, so that your session is not hurried, and you have time to touch up hair and makeup.
  • Dark colors and long sleeves are thinning, and are always appropriate for business portraits.
  • Bring your favorite accessories that help you "look like yourself". Items such as scarves, ties, and jewelry can enhance the picture.
  • Families should wear similar colored clothes. The idea is to look like a "matched set" - for example, khakis and light shirts, or jeans and black turtle necks.
  • Some photo sessions call for clothing changes - bring a variety from which to choose.
  • If you have a friend that will help you feel more comfortable and relaxed, bring them along. Many times joking with a pal helps your photos look more natural.
  • Ladies - color your roots, bring a hair brush, and touch up makeup. Also, bring face powder if you have it to cut the shine caused by studio lights.
  • If you are bringing children, set up the session for a time when they are awake and in a good mood. It is best to avoid meal times or nap times.

"Working with Ed Streit was a pleasure. He is professional, creative, and has a high level of technical knowledge. His tech- nique makes me feel as though I look better in the photos than in person. I am very pleased with the results."
